If you are considering starting a company in 2008, but do not have a whole lot of money to do it, then perhaps you might consider starting a graffiti control business. You might laugh when I suggest this, but let me tell you why it is not such a bad idea. First, did you know that when the foreclosure rate goes up 1% that local area crime climbs by 2.8%? So, who might your customers be? Well, many cities are now passing ordinances that the banks that repossess homes and foreclose on the borrowers maintain the properties or receive a fine and on-going fees from the city to pay for it. The city will then attach a lean on the property for their crews to clean up the vacant homes. Things like doing the landscaping or contracting it out or in this case cleaning up all the graffiti.

Well, you will need to print business cards and brochures and go to the paint store to set up a credit account. Some of the graffiti you will have to paint over, the rest you can pressure wash off with a little extra scrubbing. So you will need to buy a pressure washer from the paint store and use them as your inventory for supplies to clean off the graffiti. Then you will want to get out and do a little selling with;

* City Haul
* Transportation Companies

Once you have a good base of customers, the taggers will keep you very busy. The more crime and graffiti, the more money you make. Just do not get crazy and give spray cans to kids to paint mean-spirited comments about the mayor on city buildings to get more work. Believe me you’ll have plenty without going there.
